Phoenix Training delivers ITSSAR-accredited forklift truck training for operators of all experience levels. Whether you’re completely new to forklift operation, returning to the industry, or looking to add another truck category to your qualifications, we have a course to suit your needs.
Our experienced instructors provide practical, engaging training that helps operators work safely, confidently, and in compliance with current legislation.
Novice Operator Training
Designed for candidates with little or no previous experience operating rider-operated lift trucks. This course provides the knowledge and practical skills required to become a safe and competent operator.
Experienced Operator Training
Suitable for operators who regularly use lift trucks but have never received formal training, hold overseas qualifications, or have not completed an accredited test within the last five years.
Refresher Training
Recommended for operators who hold a valid forklift certificate, have recent operating experience, and require refresher training to maintain safe working practices and compliance.
Conversion Training
Ideal for qualified operators who wish to add another truck category to their existing certification, such as converting from counterbalance to reach truck operation.
Training Locations
Counterbalance (B1) and Reach Truck (D1) training can be delivered at our dedicated training centre in Wellingborough.
These and all other truck categories are delivered on-site using your equipment and operating environment, ensuring training is relevant to your workplace.

All training is delivered by qualified, experienced instructors and is conducted in accordance with the Health & Safety Executive’s Approved Code of Practice (ACOP) L117, ensuring your operators receive training that meets recognised industry standards.

Training Fees
Our standard rates for fork lift truck training are as follows:

There is also an additional one-off charge of £7 per person, where applicable ITSSAR registration fee.
There is a supplementary charge of 55p per mile which will be made for all training conducted at a distance of more than 30 miles from our centre.
