ITSSAR Forklift Instructor

Phoenix Training is accredited to deliver ITSSAR forklift instructor courses.

Upon successful completion of the course candidates become ITSSAR registered Category 1 Instructor/Examiners.

We have been successfully delivering forklift instructor courses for over 20 years.

Our instructor tutor, Paul, has been a MHE instructor for 15 years and has a wealth of experience as an instructor tutor.

Each course that is delivered is subject to a monitoring visit by ITSSAR to ensure their standards are upheld.

Once qualified candidates are able to instruct on any fork trucks/MHE that they hold a certificate to operate.

An instructors registration lasts for 5 years. If, at the 5 year point, they wish to continue as a forklift instructor they are required to attend a re-registration course (5 days).

We are happy to add extra dates to our diary to meet customer requirements. Should you prefer, an instructor course to be delivered at your premises. We will advise what is needed prior to the course being booked.

The candidates are continually assessed throughout the course.

They will be assessed on the following:

• Prepare and present a classroom lesson
• Prepare and present a practical demonstration
• Plan, prepare and present a practical lesson
• Construct and conduct a basic skills test
• Write a brief and accurate end of course report

Please be aware that from 1st December 2025 the 6-month grace period granted by ITSSAR will no longer be available.

All course fees are fully inclusive of all course material, ITSSAR instructor compendium, ITSSAR registration, certification and I.D. badge and refreshments.
